Design Inspiration: Anna Dorfman
Anna Dorfman from Door Sixteen is a designer worth taking a look at. Her main focus is book cover design but she also does webpages and other print projects. Ian Pollock said that good design means the viewer doesn’t have to think. There is a balance that allows the eye to fluidly move through the space, with no glaring obstructions that trip up the experience. Looking at Anna’s work is easy; she has already done the work of arranging the design elements, pixel-by-pixel. Starting with a compelling overall vibe that attracts the viewer, she then (seemingly effortlessly) uses typography, white space, and color to direct the viewer’s eye through the visual hierarchy.
